At this week’s Paris Motor Show, Kia displayed the Sportage Mild Hybrid eco concept. Based on the latest generation of the South Korean firm’s compact SUV model, the concept hooks up Kia’s 1.7-liter turbo diesel engine, which produces 115-horsepower and 260Nm of peak torque, to a 5 kW electric motor with a double layer capacitor. Paris Auto Show: Abarth 500C Esseesse

If you feel the regular Abarth 500C could benefit from a few more ponies under the hood, Fiat’s performance division has the answer in the form of the Esseesse edition. The tuning package bumps output of the standard 1.4-liter turbocharged engine from 140HP and 206Nm to 160HP and 230Nm, respectively. As a result, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) drops 0.6 seconds to 7.5 seconds, while top speed increases from 205km/h to 209km/h (130mph).

What can we expect from the crisp, facelifted B6 Passat? Well, for one thing, it’s actually labeled a seventh-generation model even though it’s clearly B6-derived. In its defense, VW says “every body panel apart from the roof is new”. Said new panels extend the car by 4 millimeters (4,769 mm for sedan, 4,771 mm Estate), while the width and height remain the same at 1,820 mm and 1,474 mm, respectively.
